New Year Vision

Happy New Year Loves!

What are we going to do with this brand new year? I am so excited for it to be even better than the last!

I have mentioned before, that each year, I pick a focus for the year/something I am going to diligently work on. Last year’s focus was getting my coaching business off the ground. This year, along with continuing my business goals, I am focusing on leveling up my time management and goal setting skills which are strongly interrelated with my business and health goals of years past. I love how God works. How each step that I take forward (with His timing and guidance), is another wonderful piece to the puzzle of my life.

Along with the focus of my year, I, of course, strive everyday to be a better follower of Christ and have a closer relationship with Him. With that being said, I have decided to incorporate a “song of the year” into my life as well. Like my theme song for the year. I recently heard a version of the hymn “Be Thou My Vision” and it impacted my heart.  Here is that version by Ginny Owens (who ironically enough is blind) and I have included the words below.  She skips the second verse but it is still a powerful version of the song. This song is the prayer of my heart everyday and I hope that you find it meaningful too.

“Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart

Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art

Thou my best thought by day or by night

Waking or sleeping Thy presence my light

Be thou my wisdom and Thou my true word

I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord

Thou my great Father, I, Thy true son

Thou in me dwelling and I with Thee one

Riches I heed not nor man’s empty praise

Thou mine inheritance now and always

Thou and Thou only first in my heart

High King of heaven my treasure Thou are

High King of heaven my victory won

May I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s Sun

Heart of my own heart whatever befall

Still be my vision O Ruler of all”

I want to encourage you to focus everyday on Christ and all the rest of it will fall into place.

Blessings,

Angela
