You know what I am really good at? Being single. I know that sounds weird but it’s true. I’ve been single for 10 years and counting and I’ve never been happier.

The other night, I was at dinner with some lifelong family friends and one of them asked me about my 5-year plan. I talked about my coaching business and travel and having my own tiny home, etc.

On the drive back home, I realized that I didn’t say a word about getting married or having kids in my 5-year plan. Interesting, right?

It’s not that I don’t want those things, it’s just that I’ve learned that they aren’t the be-all end-all of a happy life, as so many people assume.

If I am supposed to get married and have children, then I am confident that it will happen in God’s timing and if not, then I know He has something better in store for me.

Wherever you are in life, get good at being there and trusting God’s timing.
